The "Message Transformation" Prompt

Use this prompt with ChatGPT or your favorite LLM in Agent mode:

 "I specialize in helping [Industry] companies accelerate profits and improve operations. Please conduct deep research on a specific [Industry] business in the [Location] area. The goal is to identify opportunities where I can provide value as a business consultant and coach and then craft a personalized LinkedIn message to the company owner. Follow these steps:

Select a Business:

Identify a reputable [Industry] company serving [Location] and the surrounding region.

Use publicly available sources (company websites, BBB profiles, podcasts, etc.) to learn about its history, services, mission, and service areas.

Research & Analysis:

Gather key details: ownership/leadership names, locations, service offerings, community engagement, and marketing efforts (blog posts, promotions, service areas) with citations.

Highlight strengths and differentiators (e.g., customer‐centric philosophy, community initiatives, modern digital presence) using citations.

Identify potential areas for improvement (i.e., marketing, lead generation, sales, operations, SOPs, marketing channels, training, financial strategies) and explain how a consultant could help.

Compile a Report:

Create a clear markdown report summarizing the research, listing strengths, weaknesses, and specific improvement opportunities. Include a table of service areas or similar info for clarity.

Use citations for every consequential fact from credible sources.

Provide contact details (business phone numbers and addresses) and suggest an outreach approach, aligning it with the company’s values.

Locate the Owner on LinkedIn:

Use the owner’s publicly available LinkedIn URL (or search if necessary) to view their profile.

Without logging in, gather whatever information is publicly accessible: headline, about section, recent activity (liked posts, podcasts, etc.), and any expressed values or interests.

Note that if LinkedIn requires sign-in, you will need the user to log in to view more details.

Draft a Personalized LinkedIn Message:

Craft a concise yet compelling LinkedIn message based on your research.

Reference the owner’s publicly stated values or recent posts.

Suggest how your consulting expertise can address the identified improvement areas.

Use direct‐response techniques such as curiosity (“I spotted three ways to free up 5–10 extra service calls per week”), scarcity (“I’m only sharing these insights with a couple of companies this quarter”), and FOMO (“others who’ve implemented these strategies are already seeing results”) to encourage a reply.

Maintain a respectful and professional tone.

Deliver Results:

Summarize the research report and provide the draft LinkedIn message.

Ensure all citations are properly referenced with tether IDs.

If you encounter any sign-in requirements on LinkedIn, ask the user to take over for authentication."
